This tensioner bracket bolts onto any Fbody/GTO OEM or aftermarket water pump, and allows the use of the popular Cummins 6BT style belt tensioner, commonly sold under the Gates 38518 part number (sold separately). There are 10 clock-able indexing holes for tensioner body clocking to get the ideal geometry and tension on the belt. Kit comes with bracket, 3 billet spacers, and hardware to bolt the tensioner to the bracket. The stock tensioner hardware holds the bracket to the water pump, and there is a third bolt that goes back to the head for the most rigid setup on the market.
We do also offer a tensioner idler pulley "body" with shoulders on the sides that can replace the stock steel non-shouldered pulley as an upgrade if needed. You must press out the existing bearing and press it into the new billet idler pulley body, or purchase a NEW bearing at the link below. The offset of this tensioner will work with both OEM 6 rib and all 8 rib setups that add 2 ribs forward. If you are running in 6 ribs, you will use the REAR 6 ribs on the tensioner, the same as if you are using one of our GTO/Fbody LSA or LS9 blower pulleys.

Brackets will come in standard black and clear anodize, but custom colors are available, just select that option in the drop down menu and add a note at checkout. Spacers are not normally anodized but can be done as a custom request as well. Most orders will come with the idler pulley (if selected) in BLACK only, unless otherwise specified at checkout.
